As your executive director, I find tremendous joy in serving you.
This job gives me a great deal of gratification in so many areas of my responsibility, including working with MDAFP’s great leaders, engaging members in our advocacy efforts, getting to know and helping nurture FM residents and medical students interested in Family Medicine, as well as working with my great staff to do the work of the strategic plan.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family (especially my grandbabies), hanging out with friends and spending time outdoors.
My main focus is the development of fundraising programs and sponsorship collaboration to provide funding essential to supporting foundation and academy programs and services. I really enjoy promoting the specialty of family medicine to students and collaborating with MDAFP leadership to help enhance the quality of family medicine in Maryland.
When I am not working, I enjoy playing golf and spending time with family and friends.
I’m Brandon and I work in member services and oversee our member educational programming. My favorite part of my role is working with the Education Committee to develop programming to help keep our members engaged and informed.
In my spare time I enjoy going on family walks and spending time outside.
As a Communications and Administrative Specialist, I create, design, and distribute various forms of communications to our clients through a variety of channels. I also provide administrative support for members and other staff members.
Both my communication background and passion for health advocacy and public health education help me succeed in this role.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my friends, walking by Lake Michigan, and seeing live music.
As the Communications and Membership Specialist, I bring experience in strategic communication and education and am responsible for developing and executing communication plans that enhance membership benefits. With an eye for detail and a passion for fostering meaningful relationships, I excel in crafting compelling communication strategies through various channels.
Outside of work, Averie enjoys spending time with family and friends and outdoor activities!
I am the Financial Manager for the Maryland Academy of Family Physicians. My role is to assist the Executive Director in overseeing all the bookkeeping functions of the Academy. I take pride in providing the Treasurer and the Board of Directors accurate and timely information on the financial health of the Academy.
When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my wife, kids and grandkids.
My dual role as event manager and technology coordinator provide me the opportunity to provide value in both areas of interest/expertise. Working with people and overseeing event logistics as well as problem-solving that is involved in IT work are my favorite things to do.
My free time is spent with my wife and son doing the things we love together including sports, hiking and biking.
