Resident and Student Education Initiative

We are offering scholarships to Maryland Family Medicine Residents and Students for educational events and workshops at both MDAFP and AAFP events.

Topics offered include public health, social determinants of health, family medicine advocacy, leadership, and well-being.

Our objective is for students to develop a greater awareness and appreciation for the specialty of Family Medicine, as well as increase resident's and student's knowledge in the topics presented.

Students to the AAFP National Conference Campaign

Through generous donors like you, we’ve sent students to National Conference and are looking to do that again in 2025!

Maryland medical students are learning about and solidifying their interest in family medicine by attending the AAFP National Conference for Family Medicine Residents and Medical Students.

This annual event provides them opportunities to attend workshops and procedure sessions, connect with hundreds of family medicine residencies and employers, learn leadership development skills and network with students, residents and physicians who have common interests.
