Lung cancer screening has been proven to detect lung cancer at earlier stages, greatly increasing the likelihood of successful treatment and survival. Unfortunately, in Maryland, only 2.9% of those at high risk for lung cancer were screened in 2023. Take advantage of this important training opportunity.

Objectives
1. Understand the current USPSTF guidelines on who qualifies for lung cancer screenings.
2. Recognize which populations are most at risk from lung cancer and stand to benefit the most from such screenings.
3. Assist in clinical decision making after screenings are complete, especially with an understanding of local resources for primary care clinicians.
