Kathryn M. Hart, MD, FAAFP has been an Associate Professor of Family Medicine at the Georgetown University School of Medicine since 2016. She earned her medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and received the Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Award. She completed her residency training in Family Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. She has taught numerous medical school courses and supervised Family Medicine physicians in training, and has received multiple teaching awards. Her academic interests include medical student advising, enhancing medical student recruitment into primary care specialties, humanism in medicine, cultural competency, and curriculum development.
