Can you believe that we’re 10 months into 2024? During this time, your membership has enabled us to accomplish so many initiatives:
- We were able to set legislative priorities to shape health policy, collaborate with other health care thought leaders for Family Medicine, work to increase and retain Family Physician workforce in Maryland, demonstrate essential role of Family Medicine and continue our ongoing efforts to improve access to comprehensive health care for families of Maryland. - We held our Annual Meeting & Winter Refresher where officers and new board members were inducted, gathered new Fellows who received their degree to distinguish themselves among their colleagues and in their communities, and honored members who go above and beyond the call of duty with awards. We also provided our members quality, relevant CME sessions so you can maintain, develop, and increase the knowledge, skills, and professional performance. All alongside your colleagues from around the State.
- We developed many new programs including a POCUS course to enhance your skills and services, a regional Residency Learning Collaborative to help ensure your future partners are well-equipped to care for the population with the goal to open up educational opportunities to all physicians, began the develop stages to create tools for you to identify patients’ social needs and address health equity in your practice, and more!
