On February 24, family physicians across Maryland gathered at the Graduate Annapolis Hotel for the 2024 Annual Meeting & Winter Refresher.
Over 120 MDAFP members were in attendance, representing the Academy by participating in informative sessions. The Annual Meeting & Winter Refresher facilitated several CME opportunities. The AAFP approved the conference for credit, with the Pain Medicine KSA session offering 8 live AAFP Prescribed credits, the Pre-Conference session “Food for Thought: Understanding the Evidence to Support Your Patients providing 4 Live AAFP Prescribed credits, and the Winter Refresher itself providing 10 Live AAFP Prescribed credits.
The conference also offered MDAFP’s Annual Business Meeting on February 24. AAFP President Steve Furr, MD, FAAFP was on hand to induct the new slate of MDAFP Board Members, including newly appointed MDAFP President, Kelly Ryan, DO, FAAFP. Dr. Ryan gave an inspiring speech about how she plans to lead us toward the main goals of the Academy.
