Shana Ntiri, MD , Director
Dr. Shana O. Ntiri is an Assistant Professor in the University of Maryland’s Department of Family and Community Medicine where she divides her time between patient care, community outreach and cancer prevention research. Dr. Ntiri became active in the Maryland Academy of Family Physicians as a resident when she joined the educational committee and served as a resident director. She has remained active in MDAFP as member and former chair of the educational committee and a current board member. Dr. Ntiri has also represented MDAFP at the AAFP National Congress of Special Constituencies for several years.
Dr. Ntiri is a graduate of the University of Michigan where she studied English Literature and Boston University where she obtained a Master of Public Health in Social and Behavioral Sciences. She received her medical degree from the College of Human Medicine at Michigan State University in 2005 and completed her residency at the University of Maryland’s Department of Family and Community Medicine in 2008, where she served as chief resident.
